On this seven-night all-inclusive river cruise, you'll wind your way through the picturesque Médoc wine region, visiting exceptional traditional wineries and charming châteaux.

You'll be joined by a very special guest, the celebrated French chef, Raymond Blanc, who'll host an interactive cooking demonstration of some of his favourite dishes and answer your questions in a Q&A session.

Setting off from Bordeaux, you'll discover the UNESCO-listed citadel in Blaye, explore the mysterious underground catacombs of Saint-Émilion, see Libourne's Gothic church, and cycle through the rolling vineyards of Sauternes.

Among the excursions are visits to several vineyards and elegant châteaux wine estates, where you can take part in wine tastings and learn about the wine-making process. You can even learn the art of French cuisine in Scenic Culinaire, the ship's onboard cookery classes, so you can learn how to recreate the tastes of Bordeaux in your own kitchen. You'll visit a local food market with a Chef to pick out produce to use in your class.

    This morning, immerse yourself in the scenic Médoc wine region and discover why it's regarded as the world's leading red wine producer. Afterwards you'll have time to sample the region's finest vintages at one of its spectacular estates. Or, cycle throughout this beautiful region stopping along the way for a wine tasting.

    This afternoon, discover the Carriages Museum in the enchanting Bourg Castle. You'll walk through the 16th-century passageway to the guards rooms and see the immense WWII oil tanks. Alternatively, visit a local château and learn its fascinating history while sampling some of the extraordinary wines produced on site, or join a roundtrip cycle along the Captain's Road.
