WHAT WE LOVE...
Located in Midtown Manhattan - the neighbourhood may be lively but walk through the tall, imposing carved wood entrance doors and find yourself in a peaceful haven with décor featuring plenty of natural materials and earthy colours. On the lower floor there's a lovely restaurant serving delicious Italian cuisine, lined with brown leather banquettes under a huge artwork. The sexily low lit bar above is equally attractive, featuring a colourful bank of bottles behind it. Concrete and wood add to the appeal of the café beyond, and the lobby has inviting sofas and easy chairs above another mezzanine seating area. Guest rooms are on the whole stylish and contemporary and a host of subway lines and key sights are easily accessed from the hotel.
