WHAT WE LOVE...
The impressive list of past guest at this iconic hotel built in 1912 include Charlie Chaplin, Marilyn Monroe, Cary Grant, John Lennon and Yoko Ono, Elizabeth Taylor and Frank Sinatra - and it's still popular with Hollywood A-listers today. Nestled within 12 acres of tropical gardens (where its 23 very private bungalows are located), it is a beacon of luxury at every turn. With uplifting, bright décor predominantly using pinks and pale greens throughout the hotel, it has a swimming pool steeped in Hollywood legend, key eateries and bars where major film deals have been made, a gym and hair salon. Guest rooms are lavish, as you'd expect, and service is impeccable, so you'll never want for anything.

Rooms
The Deluxe rooms are large and luxurious, with a hugely comfortable bed to get lost in, and a spacious bathroom decked out in the hotel's signature pink marble. Look out from your room onto what looks just like the cover of the Eagles' Hotel California album - the record was named after this place.

The longstanding Polo Lounge barman points out which celebrities would sit where as he mixes fab cocktails. Lemon blueberry ricotta pancakes, with lemon curd and blueberry compote, a Polo Lounge classic, is very tasty - and huge.
