WHAT WE LOVE...

The central location of this hotel makes it a winner immediately. Literally next door to the main station; going further afield exploring couldn't be easier. That said, the hotel has a very good restaurant serving fresh fish and seafood, as well as Swedish classics, and the rooftop bar has amazing views over the city - so you might be happy to stay put! It's certainly a great place to base yourself for a solo city break, couples' getaway or a business trip. You're walking distance to the shopping district and the old town, an array of art galleries and a quirky photographic museum; so culture vultures will be impressed too. The hotel colour palette is neutral with dashes of warmth, and the plentiful plants dotted around add to the sense of serenity.

THE DETAILS

Location

We love that Stockholm's Central Station is next door to the hotel, it made exploring further afield so easy.

The Royal Palace and parliament building are both around a 20-minute walk away, while the shops in Drottninggatan are five minutes on foot.
By plane: there are direct flights from London Heathrow and Manchester airport (both 2 hours 20 minutes) to Bromma Stockholm airport. The hotel is a 30-minute drive from the airport.

Style & Character

It's perfect for a business or solo traveller who want a home-from-home, sleekness and everything to discover nearby. We really like the rooftop bar which both locals and guests enjoy - always a good sign! The panoramic views are immense.

Service & Facilities

The staff are well mannered and helpful and the concierge can recommend her favourite nearby café for a famous local 'Princess Cake'. Although a charge applies, you are allowed to bring your pet to stay with you, one pet per room.

The premium room is a tranquil space; wood panelled walls, muted grey upholstery and the luxury of an inviting red velvet comfy chair. We really like the leather swivel chair and perfect height desk from which to type on your laptop.

Food & Drink

We love the fact that the restaurant is so renowned and so central. 'Stockholm Fisk' serves the best Skagen toast, a local light bite of meaty prawns and roe on buttered toast, with fresh dill.
