WHAT WE LOVE...
Once home of the former Cotton Maker's Guild and renovated in 2015, this elegant 19th-century Neoclassical mansion retains numerous original features, such as the original marble spiral staircases.
There are numerous modern flourishes such as some striking artworks, and some lovely furnishings and furniture. The public areas are delightful and a lovely large and there's a welcoming library and a swish restaurant/bar area with an attractive terrace.
The 83 guest rooms are generally quite spacious and very comfortable, and have all the usual five-star features. The hotel enjoys a fabulous central location in the Eixample neighbourhood, a few blocks northwest of Gothic Quarter, near the city's lively nightlife and the main sights.

There's a rich choice of modernist architecture nearby and the local nightlife scene is lively.
Some of the top sights are a short walk away, including Plaça Catalunya, Las Ramblas and Gaudi's renowned Casa Batllo.

Style & Character
Guests here tend to be wealthier and middle-aged, staying for leisure rather than business purposes. There's a mixture of influences to be found here, with modern pop playing in the lower lobby, contrasting with the quite definite 1920s feel of the decor.

Rooms are of four types, all taking on a cotton theme: Cotton, Egyptian, Panama and Madras. The Egyptian rooms are the most spacious. There's ornate, cotton-related print on the wall of guest rooms, keeping to the theme of the hotel.
