WHAT WE LOVE...

In Manchester's beautiful former stock exchange, this luxury hotel offers a winning combination of a lovely restaurant by chef Tom Kerridge, personalised service, and a central, but quiet, location. Co-owned by footballers Gary Neville and Ryan Giggs, plus hotelier Winston Zahra, it's perfect for a special occassion, with marble flooring and sparkling brass, and elegant rooms made to linger in.

THE DETAILS

Location

It's slap bang in the centre of the city meaning you can walk to all Manchester's attractions and restaurants, but it's tucked away from city crowds.

Style & Character

The Stock Exchange Hotel is perfect for celebrations and anyone looking for luxury. Steam showers and treadmills in the larger suites are there to attract visiting musicians. We love the photographs of the stock exchange in its heyday, and framed artefacts and architect floorplans that show the building's history too.

Rooms

Our favourite room is the Boardroom Suite, with fabulous marble pillars and stained glass - and a mini bar in its original vault. Even the delicious smelling toiletries in the rooms, by traditional British brand D. R. Harris, are a nod to the building's heritage.

John Gass Collection, Arthur Hope Collection, Bradshaw Collection, Kent Collection, Norfolk Suite Collection, The Nineteen 0 Six Suite, The Boardroom Suite
Facilities include: king-sized beds, walk-in showers, bathrobes, toiletries, TVs with Sky Sports, hairdryers, Nespresso coffee machines

Food & Drink

The Bull & Bear restaurant in the building's domed trading hall is one of Manchester's most spectacular places to eat, serving small plates of British classics with a twist. We loved the simple rotisserie beetroot salad with feta, and a crunchy and tangy hazelnut dressing.

The Bull & Bear: Michelin-starred chef, refined British menu. Mains from £12.50-£17.50. Open for breakfast, lunch and dinner.
