WHAT WE LOVE...
A sleek, modern hotel next to the HOME arts centre and over the road from the former Hacienda building, INNSIDE Manchester is an informal option that attracts both leisure and business travellers. A resident DJ in its bar and restaurant, minimalist bedrooms, an Instagrammable lobby with a "doodle pillar" and regular displays, plus dressed-down staff will appeal to a younger crowd. And touches such as a wellness suite with a gym, sauna, steam room and spa treatments, and a complimentary minibar (soft drinks only) in rooms make it stand out. The restaurant looks great, with light streaming in from enormous windows and huge light shades that look like dandelion clocks, but there are better places to eat nearby.

The hotel is on the edge of the city centre, so it's convenient to reach by car but also close to transport links. Most of Manchester's major attractions are walkable.
Innside is a short walk from Deansgate's popular bars and restaurants, as well as the city's universities and convention centre.
By car: the hotel is 2 hours from Birmingham, 2 hours 15 mins from Nottingham and 4 hours 15 mins from London. There is a 25% discount for hotel guests at the nearby Q-Park First Street car park.

The open-plan reception area, restaurant and bar, and doodle pillar, immediately set the scene for a stylish stay.

City View King rooms are on the eighth, ninth and tenth floors of the hotel, with views through floor-to-ceiling windows towards Manchester city centre. We love that there's no chintz in the rooms, so no scatter cushions to sweep off beds. Headboards have sketches of nearby King Street on them.
