WHAT WE LOVE...
A hotel that has the air of a London club, The Guardsman is one of the nicest hotels in the area. A recent addition to Westminster and purpose-built, it sits well in this smart part of town with St James's Park and Buckingham Palace just around the corner. With its cool design - think Art Deco meets contemporary British - the hotel offers a refined air and the club-like feel is heightened by the fact that the bar and restaurant (with its British-influenced menu) are only open to residents and so never feel overcrowded. The hotel's location also makes a great base for walking to the Royal Parks and onto the West End.

Wander in St James's Park in the early morning - or go for a run - and grab an ice cream there in the afternoon.
In the heart of Westminster, just around the corner from Buckingham Palace. A short stroll will take you to Tate Britain, with Hyde Park in the opposite direction.
By car: the hotel is over 4 hours from Manchester and 2.5 hours from Bristol. Public parking costs £44 per day.
