This is a gorgeous design hotel on the Grand Canal basin in the heart of the Dublin docklands. The exterior and spacious lobby/dining spaces are eye-catching, with geometric designs, while rooms are extremely comfortable and restful and, thanks to their canal location, removed from traffic and city noises. Some of the hotel's outstanding features are the 23m-long pool and jacuzzi - where the dark colours used in the design make it a relaxing oasis - and the rooftop bar where you can see as far as the Dublin Mountains. Service is excellent and there is an innovative modern Irish menu in The Brasserie with a well-researched wine list to match. Extras like valet parking, luxury toiletries and a courtesy car for guests complete the luxury experience.

Someone who wants top-notch luxury and style and also to be near the docklands or away from the city buzz will enjoy it here. We appreciated the design of the hotel, particularly the façade and the unusual geometric ceilings in the public spaces and the comfort in the rooms.

The marble bathrooms have a large tub, underfloor heating and luxury toiletries. The décor is peaceful and restful. Lighting in the hallways and pool is muted, the room décor is sleek and minimal.

We loved the creativity and presentation of the dishes and the extremely well-researched wine list. A Bollinger sorbet presented in the upturned bottom of a Bollinger bottle was a surprise and very creative amuse bouche served during dinner.
