A bucket-list, futuristic, luxury hotel offering unique experiences including a surreal volcanic landscape, crater wine cellar and geothermal seawater to swim and relax in, benefitting body and mind. The spa is special, from the self-administered Blue Lagoon Retreat ritual to a floating massage, eyes covered as the therapist guides you through natural milky coloured waters, massaging as you go. Enjoy an afternoon tea beside the dramatic natural landscape of Iceland's Reykjanes Peninsula and indulge in a delicious fine-dining dinner focussing on Icelandic produce with a twist. It's the kind of place you don't forget in a hurry, a restorative last stop if you've toured Iceland's rugged nature and you can purchase spa products to take a little of the healing lagoon with you.

Simply going for a walk outside the retreat - it's almost a moonlike landscape - is memorable.
The hotel is located in the Reykjanes Peninsula, with hiking a popular activity. It's a 10-minute drive to Grindavík town centre.

The Lava Suite, like the other suites, has a terrace in which to sit and look out at what nature has created, with magical geothermal water within reach. The free-standing bathtub equipped with Blue Lagoon bath salts offers the perfect place to relax whilst looking out to the majestic landscape.

Afternoon tea is served daily in the lobby, as you look out to people having a dip in the magical waters. We loved the snacks in Moss restaurant to begin - cod skins, cumin white bread and Icelandic Skyr blended with butter was salty, creamy and delicious.
Lava: fine dining, Icelandic cuisine. Open daily, 11:30am-9pm.
Moss: Michelin-starred, Icelandic cuisine. Open for dinner, Wed-Sun.
Spa: casual dining, healthy and nourishing cuisine. All-day dining, open daily.
