Hotel Review
Kivotos, Mykonos, Greece
Thought to be the first boutique hotel on Mykonos when it opened three decades ago, Kivotos enjoys an enviable position above Ornos Bay and its lovely sandy beach, which is just a few minutes' walk away. The lively nightlife of Mykonos town is just ten minutes by taxi, and you can also travel by water taxi or bus. The hotel is styled on a traditional Mykonian village, with low-storey whitewashed Cycladian buildings spread around two inviting swimming pools, one with a beach bar. There's an open air restaurant offering impressive cuisine, and the terrace at the breakfast restaurant enjoys lovely views of the bay and hills beyond. Guest rooms are very comfortable and some have their own pool.
