WHAT WE LOVE...

Set in a beautiful Georgian mansion, No38 The Park feels more like staying at a (wealthy) friend's home. Stroll through the front door and you'll find a cosy lounge bedecked with a hotchpotch of artworks. Persian fabrics hang side by side with works by living British artists, while oversized stone lamp bases and reclaimed wood tables add a chic, rustic touch. It's stylish and contemporary, exuding a sophisticated, laidback vibe, attracting couples and small groups of friends seeking a fashionable boutique bolthole a short walk from the centre of town and the racecourse. The thirteen rooms are cosy and tastefully furnished, with herringbone carpets, thick flowing curtains and wonderfully high ceilings. In the mornings, tuck into flavoursome dishes in a light-filled atrium; in summer, the French windows are thrown open, creating a breezy breakfast spot.
