WHAT WE LOVE...

Originally built for Scandinavian Airlines System (hence the giant SAS sign on the top of the building), this city-centre hotel stands testament to the glamour of the early Jet Age. When it opened in 1960 (the first skyscraper on the Copenhagen skyline), it included not just a hotel but also a large air terminal and lounge, with a fleet of buses shuttling passengers to and from the airport. The design throughout was down to the creative vision of Danish architect Arne Jacobsen and much of that original vision remains intact today - but with new life breathed into it, following a recent renovation that saw the hotel completely refurbished from top to bottom. If you're looking for stylish surroundings in a central location, it definitely ticks the right boxes
