The Bath Priory, Bath: save 30%* on a two-night deluxe stay
Independently owned, this elegant hotel sits across two interconnecting Georgian manors in a quiet suburb of Bath. As you walk through the porch lined with logs, you immediately feel you're entering a 19th-century country home complete with oil paintings filling the drawing room walls, and working fireplaces and sash windows in many rooms. Each bedroom is individually designed, staying true to classic English design, with a palette of muted natural colours inspired by the award-winning four-acre gardens. Floral scents pervade every space, and the botanical theme continues in the spa with L'Occitane products from Provence. As befits the setting, the calm light-filled restaurant is the perfect location for afternoon tea.
