WHAT WE LOVE...

A discreet city centre hotel overlooking the tree-lined Paseo del Borne with its café terraces and designer stores. Converted from a 19th-century neo gothic mansion (which was itself converted from a 17th-century palace), the hotel has an attractive green-shuttered facade and in the reception a vaulted ceiling from the 1600s. The action is on the second floor where a lively destination Asian fusion restaurant attracts a loyal local clientele who come for the outdoor elevated terrace, which is buzzing in summer. Guests can also enjoy a private rooftop terrace with plunge pool, sofas and loungers. Rooms are spacious and elegantly furnished with dark wood floors and modern artworks on the wall (among several that have been curated by the Galeria Pelaires especially for the hotel).
